Privacy Policy

Effective August 18, 2026 · Sensitive Materials LLC

1. Who We Are and What This Covers

This Privacy Policy explains how Sensitive Materials LLC (“Sensitive Materials,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, discloses, and protects information in connection with NextToStage (nexttostage.com) (the “Service”).

The Service is a live show-management tool built for dance competition organizers and the staff who run competition weekends — emcees, backstage crew, stage managers, lighting operators, and media crew.

2. Information We Collect

Account and identity information

  • Name and email address, for anyone who creates a staff account
  • Role information (emcee, backstage, stage manager, lighting, or media)
  • Studio or organization name, where applicable

Show and event data

  • Competition/event names, dates, and locations entered by staff
  • Routine information: numbers, titles, studios, divisions, and categories
  • Real-time status data needed to run a live show (check-in status, on-stage status, timing)
  • Messages sent through in-app staff communication tools

Routine listings routinely include the names of individual dancers, including minors — entered by dance studios and competition staff, not collected directly from the dancers themselves. See Section 5 (Children’s Privacy).

Payment information

Where the Service includes paid subscriptions, payment is processed by a third-party payment processor (for example, Stripe). We do not store full payment card numbers on our own servers — the processor handles that data under its own security and privacy terms, and we receive only what’s needed to manage your subscription.

Technical and usage information

  • IP address, browser type, device type, and general usage/log data
  • Cookies and similar technologies used to keep you signed in and to understand basic usage patterns — see Section 8

3. How We Use Information

  • To operate, maintain, and provide the Service you've signed up for
  • To run the live features that are the core function of NextToStage (real-time cue board, staff communication, status tracking)
  • To process payments and manage subscriptions
  • To send service-related communications (invites, notifications about your account or an upcoming show)
  • To maintain security, investigate misuse, and enforce our terms
  • To improve the Service, informed by aggregate or de-identified usage patterns where possible
  • To comply with legal obligations

We do not sell personal information.

4. How Information Is Shared — Service Providers

We share information with the following categories of service providers, each of whom processes data on our behalf and is contractually or by policy restricted from using it for their own independent purposes:

  • Supabase — database hosting, authentication, and real-time data sync, including transactional account emails
  • Vercel — application hosting and infrastructure
  • Our payment processor, once online billing is active — payment processing only

We do not sell personal information to third parties, and we do not share show or routine data with any party outside of the service providers listed above who are necessary to operate the Service.

We may disclose information if required by law, to protect the rights, property, or safety of Sensitive Materials, our users, or others, or in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets (with notice to affected users where required).

5. Children's Privacy

NextToStage is a business tool intended for use by adults — dance competition organizers and staff acting in a professional or administrative capacity. The Service is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information directly from any individual under the age of 13 through account creation, sign-up, or any other means by which a child would interact with the Service themselves.

We recognize that information entered by adult staff in the ordinary course of running a competition — such as a dancer’s name appearing in a routine listing — may reference or include information about minors. This information is entered by dance studios and competition organizers in their administrative or professional capacity, not collected directly from a child using our Service.

If you are a parent or guardian and believe information about your child appears within the Service and you would like it reviewed or removed, contact us at Mr.King@nexttostage.com and we will address the request.

6. Your Choices and Rights

  • Access and correction: you can review and update your account information within the Service, or by contacting us
  • Deletion: you may request deletion of your account and associated data by contacting us at Mr.King@nexttostage.com
  • Communications: service-related emails (invites, notifications) are necessary to the Service and cannot be opted out of while your account is active

7. California Privacy Rights

This Privacy Policy is intended to satisfy the disclosure requirements of the California Online Privacy Protection Act (CalOPPA), which applies to us because our Service is accessible to California residents.

Do Not Track: our Service does not currently respond to “Do Not Track” browser signals.

California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA/CPRA): as a matter of policy, we extend the core rights the CCPA describes — to know what information we hold about you, to request its deletion, to correct it, and to be free from discrimination for exercising these rights — to all users of the Service, regardless of where you live. To exercise any of these rights, contact us at Mr.King@nexttostage.com.

8. Cookies and Similar Technologies

We use cookies and similar technologies to keep you signed in and to support core functionality of the Service. We do not currently use third-party advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.

9. Data Retention

We retain account and show data for as long as your account is active, plus a reasonable period afterward for legitimate business or legal purposes. If you request deletion of your account, we will delete or de-identify your personal information within a commercially reasonable time, except where we are required or permitted by law to retain it longer.

10. Data Security

We use industry-standard technical and organizational measures to protect information, including encryption in transit, database-level access controls, and role-based permissions that restrict who can access what data within the Service. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by an updated “Last updated” date, and where appropriate, additional notice will be provided.
